A brand new band that with just one gig was booked for the biggest music festival in Portugal! Debut LP of WHALES will be coming out in 2017 by Omnichord Records. Their single Big Pulse Waves, is playing loud on our June playlist. It’s the most fresh alternative track I’ve heard in a while, with a great energized structure that makes you think about how much enthusiasm goes into a melting pot of gold. Plus, the video is spicy, too hot for today’s 39 Celsius.
Our eyes will not dive away from these talented 20yr olds. Mixing up electronics with rock elements, is their giving style, packing moments full of colorful intensity and rhythm. Something to wait for the next year I suppose but it’s worth it. We have already fell in love with Omnichord as you can see, hitting a strike this week, but if your ears are on to it, your soul cheers for more. Love to Portugal! All we need, is a fresh eye for life, light and music. Dare to feel free and young again.
