Low Roar – Waiting (10 Years)

Beloved Low Roar aka Ryan Karazija just revealed second single Waiting (10 years) from his upcoming album Once In A Long, Long While… to be out via Nevado Records mid April. You can read more hereHideo Kojima also used Low Roar’s I’ll Keep Coming and Easy Way Out on two high-profile trailers in 2016 for his Death Stranding video game starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and director Guillermo del Toro.

Waiting’ is about being let down while in love, and still waiting around even though you know it’s gone…that feeling that you’re losing your mind, stuck in between one thing and the next. I was on a metro home with a friend of mine and we both agreed that while we were perfect for each other, maybe in 10 years if the timing was right we would try again. That night I went home and wrote the song.

Dakota – Icon

Dakota from the Netherlands have created an Icon-ic track and it’s for the groupies of Warpaint, St Vincent and Beach House. The all four girl band create jaded dream pop, infused with garage rock and are an enchanting flavor of indie awesomeness to hang around all seasons. Catch the shimmering official video here.

Marnie (from Ladytron) – Lost Maps

I’m sure you can recognize Marnie’s voice even from outer space! The release of Lost Maps is taken from her album Strange Words and Weird Wars to be out June 2017 via Disco Piñata. Aboveboard, it’s ethereal pop soundscaping into the future.

Ducks! – Giant World

Giant World is Ducks! new single. A dreamy trip-hop tune built on beats that snap and crunch, whose changing moods are evoked by rich analogue synth drones and wobbly tape-looped keys. The track ends with real field recordings of frogs by the banks of Berlin’s Landwehrkanal in spring last year. The track is taken from Ducks! new album Nak Nak. Berlin based Australians, Lani Bagley and Craig Schuftan who have been making electronic music since 2014, really remind me of Lamb and have taken our life-journeys a bit further down the road today with their creative aesthetics and life artforms.

Kendl – For Her

Kendl draws inspiration from Four Tet and Jamie xx. Performing everything live he fills up his studio with plants to breathe more life into the atmosphere. That nature flows into the physics of the beats in one take. For Her has a sublime electrified aroma, and dropped a week ago, taken from forthcoming Colours EP. Jesse Kendal from Melbourne is the intense flame in my electronic dreamwave campfire playlist, a Bonobo downunder.
