Urchin – Take Time

Urchin – Take Time

Are you in search of a fresh track to clear up your occupated mind? Urchin aka Leo Appleyard a musician and producer from South-West London has the music remedy in his sea of sounds. Take time makes you feel amazing just like any new ambitious Bonobo, Maribou State or the Cinematic Orchestra track. It lets you breathe through the melody and you connect clearly with the meaning of the lyrics. Grace Walker’s honeycombed vocals are the cherry on the cake. The mid-uptempo zesty atmosphere is sophisticated and you are in for a spin!

Originally an ambitious 8-piece band that performed at the London Jazz Festival and venues around London, Urchin now represents the sonic output forged in a secluded island studio, once home to the ‘spice girls’ in the early 90s.

In 2018, Leo took a break from life as a gigging musician and escaped to the progressive music scene of Melbourne, Australia. Taking in the mix of house, disco and modern jazz from the northern districts of Fitzroy and Brunswick – ‘Take Time’ EP  is the reflection of that time spent in a creative zone.
