Busty and the Bass – Common Ground
Busty and the Bass are a nine-piece band from Montreal and have just announced their debut album Uncommon Good due out Sept. 8th. (Indica Records). Today we get to watch the video for their latest uplifting and soul infused single Common Ground. It’s miraculously on repeat as a feel-good jam.
INeedARaze – The Future (feat. Joie G)
Raze’s (INeedARaze) latest effort is bathed in cool, jazzy vibes with some incredible saxophone contributions from Glen Mauser and go-to producer Rusty Mack’s innate musicianship, coupled with songbird Joie G who provides the song’s hook, giving The Future a sense of grandiosity. It’s a breathtaking groove that takes in past struggles, however we must move onwards…. Download the track here for free.
Sal Dulu – Duluoz Dream
We all have our dreamland space and Sal Dulu has just landed on my sound clouds. He’s an emerging hip-hop producer from Ireland. I strongly believe he is listening to my thoughts this week from afar, as I’m constantly online tofugu.com. Japanese dialogues, guitar-piano flings and some hot brass, escalating into an aerial track view. I’m certainly aching for more beats and treats.
Satin Jackets – Northern Lights
Northern Lights is the new single from German music producer Tim Bernhardt of Satin Jackets and Berlin-based British vocalist and songwriter David Harks. Released on Belgium’s eskimorecordings it follows on from recent Satin Jackets hits such as ‘Feel Good’ and ‘Never Enough’ and is sure to find favour with anyone who likes their disco Balearic and the pop cosmic.
Following a recent trip to Norway to work with fellow Eskimo artists Atella and Cavego, Tim was moved to try and capture some of his experiences there in musical form.
“After experiencing a world known for its Northern Lights, I wanted to take that concept and run with it, asking myself how we could reflect this phenomena in music,” Tim explains. “Despite a busy schedule, I couldn’t help but take a day off and go on a trip exploring the country and the depths and beauty of one of the Fjords in the area. It was absolutely breath-taking.”
Gian Marco Castro – Shades
Gian Marco Castro is an Italian film composer, nominated as winner of the Los Angeles CineFest last year. He has a strong background in music production and composition and continues his journey to amaze our ears. Shades taken from his new EP, brings colors to our dreams and memories. Memories lost to the loneliness of the days or others we treasure as black and white film in front of our eyes, that tend to grey. GMC as a classical modernist has carved his own sentimental fabric of piano strings. I’m looking forward to explore his ambient world even more in the bright future ahead of him.
