Dalton Mauldin is a singer-songwriter from Lake City, Florida. Being raised on a small farm, his first musical influences were country music and rock n roll but it wasn’t till high school that Dalton started his journey in music. With a hand-me-down guitar from one of his friends, Dalton started learning music through YouTube tutorials. After figuring out the basics, he began sharing videos of him singing and playing covers on Vine.
As it was expected, he quickly blew up with more than 50.000 followers and started moving to other platforms. In 2018, Dalton started experimenting with his own music and after a while, his first single charted on iTunes at #19 on the country charts and #91 in all genres. For a man that taught himself how to sing and play, you can’t deny that’s a lot.
When I first heard his track “That’s How It Goes” my first thought was “yeah, this could blow up easily as well”. Some pop vibes, a really catchy hook, and a guitar that gets you shaking your head, somehow Dalton has figured out the recipe to success and he seems to be really making it work his way.
It’s worth mentioning that before getting involved with music, Dalton fell in love with baseball and is currently a collegiate baseball player. He’s received an associate’s degree in business, a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, and will be graduating with a master’s degree in organizational leadership.
