The Collection is a 2019 NPR Tiny Desk Judge’s Pick. They have released 3 records independently and rocked many of the US festival side stages before the covid-19 hit.
At the moment, with touring being at a halt, the band spends their downtime recording and making music while figuring out, what being a band means in these trying times.
Their song Won’t Stop Yet, released on the 25th of February, is a Pop-Rock track, expressing -what I believe- the majority of people face each day and their way of living, with a twist of optimism and some great vibes.
“My therapist thinks I should get a hobby” feels like what most of us are going through the last two years, living through a big pandemic, losing people we loved, and generally making it day by day without knowing what the next day will bring is something you can’t take lightly.
The Collection says “I’ve got one more hour, I’ve got one more step, might not make it further but I won’t stop yet“, to me, pushing forward despite all that’s happening around takes true power, and making music about that is truly healing.
