“Vast Space,” being willing to “open up your heart and let the love
flood in.”The “vast space” isn’t just the one within, either. The
natural world played a key part in the creation of these songs, some
written while Pryce and Leven were vacationing in the California desert,
others while road tripping through the Scottish Highlands (you’ll find
images of these adventures with the album art) .
We first fell upon the word Gulp in the Django Django “Late Night Tales” session with the track “Game Love”. It seems that these guys toured in the UK and Ireland with them.

Gulp is Guto Pryce (Super Furry Animals) and Lindsey Leven, with Gid
Goundrey providing guitar and Gwion Llewelyn (Race Horses) on drums.
Fuzzed-up bass, dream-folk vocals, acoustic and electronic drums and
synths…their cinematic and ethereal sound is a musical manifestation of
the road trip; the landscape and events along the way, filmic scenes and
melodies – from the sun-squinting, flickering saturation and lens flare
of the Californian desert to the gloamin of rural Scottish and Welsh
homescapes.
