Youth Valley is a band coming from Athens, Greece created back in 2019.
Their sound feels like a modern approach to genres like New Wave, Post Punk, and 80’s Indie Rock combined with some Shoegaze aesthetics. While there are fragments of the past in the overall vibe of the track, the production feels fresh, with great-sounding guitars, lovely vocals, and a really tight rhythm section.
The combination of forces with renowned musician Serafim Tsotsonis, is a win-win kind of situation. The band already had a unique and personal sound and Serafim Tsotsonis takes that up a notch with his own touch. The guitar riffs feel like The Cure met The Smiths and had a child, in 2022 while the vocals have their own special quality and place in the song. I can see this becoming one of those songs everyone vibes with, like a song for a night drive, or a tv series soundtrack. I really feel that this is the start of an addiction to Youth Valley and their music and I can’t wait for their next release.
