jamhed is a german psychedelic pop band, which was formed in january 2007 after a stunning jam session. The band was founded by Christoph Mack (Drums/Vocals) Jeremias Heinz (Bass) Luis Deffner (Keys, Perc. Vocals) and Philip Jost (Vocals/Guitar). In 2009 Lucas Meir (acc.Guitar) joined the band, but left them one year later, to move to France.After a short period of playing as the former quartett again, Thomas Zehnle (lead Guitar) joined the band to bring them back to full strength.
Their music is influenced by bands and artists of many genres like: the Doors, the Velvet Underground, The beta band, Air, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Beatles and Franz Schubert, which makes it difficult to describe their style more exactly than something like “psychedelic pop/blues/alternative”.
