Some of my favorite musicians are from Norway. From Todd Terje to Jan Garbarek the list keeps on rolling. Every now and then, I always bump into a very special and creative music spirit so I’ll sharpen my pencil and put AYH-LET down right away on my Norwegian list of beloved artists! Let me introduce you to his very shiny new project! For now, it’s just a debut track named BÅT (boat). However, there is something refreshing about it. Some old synths, a Zimmermann piano, and a boat have tweaked it into gold for your ears only.
AYH-LET is recording an album, ready to be out in Summer in his mother tongue and it’s almost ready. The GPS confirms an old farm in the forests by the coastline, what a wonderful spot to plan and record your feelings. There are some very top secret messages we exchanged over e-mail so I will keep it down to the music updates. Hopefully, we could chit-chat again as the album is out. Well, I could give you some more extra info, AYH-LET loves his CAPS!
THE IDEA IS/WAS TO USE THE TOOLS OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC, MY GENRE FOR TEN YEARS, TO CREATE SOMETHING MORE OF AN IMPRESSIONIST ALBUM, MORE PERSONAL AND FREED FROM TRENDS, USING ONLY GEAR THAT I LOVE, IN SURROUNDINGS THAT I LOVE.HENCE, THE EMBEDDED ARTWORK CONSISTS OF A PICTURE OF THE FORESTS WHERE THE TRACKS ARE WRITTEN, AND A VIDEO AND SOUNDSCAPE OF THE BOAT’S SURROUNDINGS.

Hi mates! Ever since 2008, I blog almost daily or curate music for a purpose as founder/editor-in-chief in this space! I'm an avid music collector, and love supporting humans "in" the arts!
