RIIVA – HTML

RIIVA is a German-American singer, that uses her everyday experiences to create emotional yet energetic, dark R’n’B and Hip Hop music with a dose of 00s in it.
She first started singing at a really young age, with her idols being Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, and other pop/hip hop artists of the time.

While studying music, her influences changed to a more Soul – R’n’B orientation like Aretha Frankin and India Arie. She got her degree as a singing teacher at the early age of 18, became a member of the german funk group #zweiraumsilke, and participated as support in shows for DYLYN, Konni Kass as well as two shows in Chicago.

I think HTML is what most people have in mind when they hear the words, “that’s gonna be a hit”. The song is an absolute banger, with great orchestration and songwriting, a strong and groovy beat, and a hook that gets stuck to your head whether you like it or not. For me, that’s hit quality right there.

Though HTML isn’t one of the most emotional tracks in Riiva’s arsenal, she’s an artist that isn’t afraid to point at the elephant in the room. She sings for her fears, emotions, wishes, and experiences in a sensual, dark way full of energy and passion.
