‘Control’ is a breath-taking cinematic single full of captivating soulfulness.
Without any hesitance in her beautiful voice, Becca James praises life through a gospel-influenced neo-soul track reminding us of bands that transformed our listenings (London Grammar, The Submotion Orchestra, Lamb, etc.). It’s so easy to fall in love with Control. It seems like a steady reason the demo version got caught by BBC Introducing (in the North East) and later on picked by Crumpet Records as part of their programme at Newcastle-based indie label Kaleidoscope (Callum Pitt, Grace Gillespie, SHIELDS). Smooth pleasures and smiles come with Becca’s sound. And we want more!
