Marta Per is a London-based, Portuguese-born multi-instrumentalist, writing her own music and stirring the waters with her deep and soulful voice.
Marta has been part of several bands in her music adventure and is now making her way as a solo artist, drawing inspiration from pop, rock, and jazz, along with her classical roots.
Her song “Take A Deep Breath” is a pop-rock piece with some funky guitar chops, a stone wall of drums and bass, and overall a great fresh production.
The first thing I noticed as I was listening, was the ease with which Marta stirrs from one scale to another while keeping the song really musical and groovy.
Along with this come some really nice and well-thought lyrics and the song keeps building and building.
