Unique electronic/dramatic pop artist BONANDER sends her love and vibes from Stockholm releasing her first single “Blindfolded” to the world. Writing and producing on her own, Ellinor Sterner’s project is supported by her fellow musicians Elias Ortiz (drums), Linnea Svedmyr (keys), and Olov Domeij (bass). Local live gigs in the area are firing up as we speak.
It’s a transmission from a strange, ecstatic, and beautiful world full of experimental electronic sounds combined with weird jazz. Well, it’s actually a chocolate chip bucket of dare filled up with Popsicle dreamscapes that travel you into spacious atmospheres. Noted exploration throughout the track provides an alche-mystique balance pushing a no-limits bar to genre and expressionism. With a voice full of Kate Bush chimes and a rush of Laurie Anderson whisperings in our “fantasy” background, Bonander owns such a creative exquisiteness, soothing out lyrics concerning existential, feministic questions about the malfunctions in the world.
Blindfolded is about releasing oneself from other people’s expectations and judgments after a time of retaining who you truly are.
