Four Tet and Bonobo are two huge names that stay remarkably consistent in my playlists and my heart for years and years. As Jacana People pop on my promo feed due to above likings, I feel hugged in a safe place as my ears jump up and down. The duo comes from the British landscapes delivering hopeful slices of electronic sound. With Fauna and Flaura, it seems like they started channeling the energy on BBC outlets and are gaining momentum at full throttle.
Amaya is their latest offering, teasing out the balance of a club-ready or chillout music spirit. The devotional hang drums add whips of colored smoke in the air, and the natural blends in with the synthetic counterparts. Jacana People manage to tingle us out of our isolation grids with tempo sparks, helping the bittersweet thoughts turn into smiles. All I want now is to see this stamped in vinyl on the dancefloor.
